We are a full service photographic studio situated 100metres from Grayston Drive off/on ramp on the M1 motorway, in Sandton. Studio Yellow offers a streamlined service to clients in the fashion and related advertising industries. The studio carries a most comprehensive studio lighting inventory. Medium format camera hire is available up to 60 megapixels as well as digital services, post production and set building.

  • Studio Hire

    Black&white

    The main studio at Yellow measures 16m x 7m with a 3.7m ceiling height. There are two raised stages ideal for fashion, people or product. Both stages have fully coved infinity screens. One stage is briliant matt white and the other 18% DIN Grey. The grey stage responds particularly well to light with coloured gels. Both stages are equpped with 8 overhead pentagraphs each fed with it's own power point. The stages can be kept clear of cables and stands faciliting access for crew. In addition light stands, boomed light stands, poly boards and stands(white,black and silver) California Sunbounce reflectors and triflectors are available for use during the shoot at no additional cost.

  • Medium Format Camera Hire

    Hasselblad

    Leaf and Phase One medium digital formay backs are available for hire - in studio use only unless by prior arrangement. Hasselblad H1 and H2 camera bodies as well as an extremely comprehensive range of Hasselblad lenses is available. Complete digital packagaes are available including MacPro/MacbookPro Capture One software.

  • Lighting Hire

    With one of the largest lighting inventories in Africa we are confident that you as a photographer will be able to sculpt the light and achieve the exact mood, ambience and intensity you need for your project. Use the Elinchrom EL Studio System and control all your lighting from your laptop. All studio lighting is available for in house use only. We do have Profoto ProB bateery packs that we hire out of studio by prior arrangement.
